Mobile Strategy: Responsive v Optimized

by Chris Sutton | September 18, 2014

Responsive Layout

Over 50% of all connections to the Internet are now made through mobile devices. With mobile connections expected to reach 70% by 2016, it is critical to make sure your website is formatted correctly, when viewed from a mobile device. In this video I talk about the difference between mobile 'Optimized’ and mobile "Responsive" design. Most businesses that choose to go mobile optimised, do so because they think they have more options and control (when compared with mobile responsive design). I explain the difference between optimized and responsive design; how Google prefer mobile optimized; and the benefits and flexibility with optimized design.
